-On today’s journey, we will visit prominent Christian religious landmarks in Egypt dating back to the transitional period between the Roman era and the early spread of Christianity in the country. Among these sites is the Monastery and Church of Saint Simon (Simon the Tanner), nestled in the heart of Mokattam Mountain; reaching this majestic edifice requires passing through the "Garbage City."

From there, we head to the "Coptic Cairo" area to see the "Cave Church," which houses the holy well from which the Holy Family drank during their journey through Egypt. This area is also known as the "Complex of Religions," as it is home to the Mosque of Amr ibn al-Aas, the Hanging Church (considered one of Egypt's most important churches), and a synagogue.
