Saqqara served as a major hub for the evolution of funerary architecture in Egypt, housing—among its most notable structures—tombs dating back to the Old Kingdom, most notably the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, which is regarded as the first monumental stone structure in history. -Finally, in the city of Dahshur, we find the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid; these serve as evidence of the evolution of tomb construction in Egypt—transitioning from ( Mastabas ) to massive stone structures taking the form of a pyramid. - Our tours include. 1.
